For the first time, the students witness the hostilities of the world as their village is overrun with visitors from the other Great Scythe Villages. The threat of war looms over the south, and Durado’s youngest cohort is faced with new challenges, tragedies, and inspirations hitherto unknown to them. Embark on an epic adventure through the formidable kingdoms of Cascadia alongside Sprenger, Juriah, and Tuk as they work to uncover the secrets of the Great Villages, hidden Nymphigori, and their awe-inspiring beasts. Meanwhile, Tenni discovers her true potential as she works to solidify Brandon’s reign as the rightful king in Billingdor.
